The Modern World’s Reverence Of Science Has Gone Too Far

June 12, 2013 By Joe Kim 4 Comments

I’ve been meaning to write about this topic for a long time, but somehow just never got around to it. To me, it reeks of common sense and obviousness, but to many others, it’s something they haven’t really thought about. Science’s place as the ultimate truth-finder in the modern world is taken as a given. But is it really? I contend that it isn’t.

Do You Discuss Issues or Argue?

August 22, 2012 By R. Brad White 1 Comment

I have a lot of conversations with people that hold wildly varying beliefs. Sometimes those conversations are productive. But all too often, they go nowhere.

So, I want to share some things I’ve learned (and continue to learn) about how to have a worthwhile discussion with someone who holds different beliefs than myself. This is an attempt to answer the question: [Read more…]

The Change

Music can be an incredible agent for change within our hearts and souls. Music can inspire feelings of joy and also bring tears to our eyes. And every once in a while, I encounter a song with lyrics that just say KA-POW!

How Do I Make Restitution?

July 10, 2012 By R. Brad White

DEAR LARRY:

I am 47 years old male from Chennai, India. I am a born Christian regular to protestant Church here. At the age of 42 in July 25, 2007, I have accepted Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord, Saviour & Friend and became converted / born-again.

Before conversion, like Zaheus in the Holy Bible, I have earned unrighteous money in way of bribes, kick backs, in my official capacity.  Yesterday, I was meditating on St. Matthew Chapter 6.  I prayed to our Lord that I have accepted You and You are living within me.  Please tell me & guide me how to restitute the same.

This I have not taken from any individual, but from companies where there is no ownerships and I cannot repay to them now. The part the money is lying now in my various land properties and the house where I stay now.  I have asked Lord to reveal how to do this.

Do you have any suggestions on this.

– Maxwell

How Do You Define Inerrancy?

However, we’ve discovered that agreeing on what something means is essential BEFORE discussing pro’s or con’s related to a topic.

So, with that in mind, this week’s question is: how do you define inerrancy? [Read more…]
