Forgive…and Forgive again

July 31, 2011 By R. Brad White 1 Comment

Luke 17:3-4. “Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”

The message: don’t hold grudges. Forgive quickly. For our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, rebuke if one of us sins, but be ready to forgive if they show a true repentant heart. And even if they don’t, forgive them anyway.

I think, being like Christ is not possible without His Spirit residing within us. For me, being like Him, means to have His mind and live His way through the Holy Spirit that dwells in those that truly believe and repent. He gave us a practical and perfect example when descended to this earth for us to emulate. So, first things first! We have to believe Christ as Lord and personal Saviour and that He died and was raised from the dead after three days and three nights, repent and be baptised for the forgveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit to guide and give us strentgh and wisedom to navigate this life.
